THE SILKY CONTACT POINT MECHANISM ™ This patented* original mechanism has a springy resin packing inserted between the moving blade and the still blade which are finely polished on the inner sides. The resin packing prevents friction between these metal parts. This packing, in combination with ball bearings, provides a remarkable smoothness, in keeping with the name "silky."
